The Philippines is an English speaking country so you’re probably wondering why you have to take the IELTS to prove something. But there’s actually a way you can skip the IELTS exam and the school can waive it if you prove that you received your education in English.
Evidence of English as Medium of Instruction
This is an official certificate that you’ll have to get from your school. If you provide this along with your school applications, the school will likely waive the IELTS exam. Countries like the Philippines don’t necessarily only teach in their national language. If your program was delivered in English, you can apply to get this certificate. All you’ll need are your transcripts, a letter of intent, and your proof of ID and address.
List of schools that waive IELTS:
- VCC (some programs)
- SAIT
- Centennial College (except health programs)
- Cambria College
